eLearning Developer

About the role

RevConnect is an NT Government initiative to replace the existing tax revenue system used by the Territory Revenue Office, delivering a modern platform for both taxpayers and internal revenue staff. The eLearning Developer will design and develop up to twenty training modules covering key RevConnect functions and workflows. External modules must be visually high quality and easy to follow, while internal modules must be interactive with assessments upon completion and compatible with the NT Government's Moodle-based training platform. The successful contractor will also define content management standards for future updates, transfer development skills to the RevConnect change management delivery team, and collaborate with the organisational change manager to align all training with the broader change management strategy.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Design and develop up to twenty eLearning training videos and interactive modules for external (taxpayer) and internal (Territory Revenue Office) users of the RevConnect tax revenue system
• Create high-quality visual eLearning for external users covering key RevConnect functions and processes in a modern, easy-to-follow, and user-friendly format
• Develop interactive internal eLearning modules with practice activities and assessments upon completion, compatible with the NT Government Moodle online training platform
• Write and create all required online training content for RevConnect external and internal users
• Define standards and guidelines for ongoing management of content and catering for future updates
• Share knowledge and skills with the RevConnect change management delivery team on the development, editing, and management of online training
• Collaborate with the RevConnect organisational change manager to align learning design and delivery with the RevConnect change management strategy
• Deliver a Work Plan within 5 days of contract commencement, including timeline of work, project activities, blockers, and issues with recommended resolutions

Essential skills and experience

• Demonstrated experience with Articulate 360 or similar authoring tools, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (specifically Moodle), HTML5, CSS, and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0
• Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing online training, support, and help systems, including compiling, organising, and developing online help applications for end-users
• Demonstrated experience in design principles for user interactions and responsive design principles
• Demonstrated ability to apply document configuration, standards, and guidelines to edit, standardise, and maintain version control of material
• Demonstrated ability to create, maintain, and update training support materials and develop systems to track versions
• High-level written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and appropriately to diverse target audiences, with excellent attention to detail
